Homework Policy
We intend for our students to participate in an amount of homework that is appropriate at each grade level. An indicator of the amount of time children should spend on homework would be 10 minutes for a student’s current grade plus an additional 10 minutes for each grade a child has completed. Therefore a first grader would expect 20 minutes of homework and a seventh grader might receive 80 minutes of homework. Homework is independent practice of what a student has already learned. It is also a way for parents to have an understanding for what each child is learning at school. If your child is unable to complete his/ her homework unassisted please inform our faculty and staff of this difficulty immediately.
