Our Vision: To provide promising students with a prestigious college preparatory education. Read entire vision statement.
Leadership: A highly educated and experienced staff delivering
exceptional instruction in an atmosphere that encourages confidence, self-esteem
and academic growth.
Individualized
Attention: A goal of a 9:1 student-to-staff ratio. Each class
will have a maximum of 18
students with most instruction taking place in small groups.
State-of-the-Art
Technology: Much of the curriculum will be computer-based, allowing
for immediate
feedback and communication among students, parents and teachers.
Social Curriculum: “Responsive Classroom” curriculum, a program that empowers
children to be cooperative,
assertive, responsible, empathetic and environmentally conscious.
Performing
and Visual Arts Instruction: Weekly participation in art and
art appreciation, music performance and theory. The Caepe School will
present two live performances per school year.
Foreign Language: We will incorporate conversation, writing, story presentation, games,
songs and technology to cultivate an understanding of foreign languages including Latin and Spanish, in relation to Hispanic art, dance, education, food,
holidays, literature, sports and music.
Sports and Physical Wellness: The Caepe School takes pride in individual self-care and emphasizes physical wellness. Each student at The Caepe School is encouraged to participate in athletics on a team sport and is provided instruction and practice in many lifelong athletic skills.
Technology: Students will be immersed in the most up-to-date technology and software throughout the school day. Smartboards replace traditional chalkboards and computers are integrated into the open classroom environment.
Testing: We were granted membership to the prestigious Educational Records Bureau in 2008, allowing us access to the most rigorous national tests. These tests allow parents and faculty to see where our students rank nationally and enable us to better asses our students' progress. |
